At Happy & Healthy Pediatrics, we offer a comprehensive range of services to cater to your child's health needs.
Well-Child Visits: Regular check-ups are essential to monitor your child's growth, development, and overall health. These visits allow us to detect any potential health issues early and ensure your child is developing as expected. They also provide an opportunity for you to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about your child's health or behavior.
- Developmental Screenings: These evaluations are designed to ensure your child is reaching developmental milestones in areas such as speech, motor skills, and social behavior. Early detection of developmental delays allows for early intervention, which can significantly improve outcomes for your child.
- Nutritional Counseling: Healthy eating habits are crucial for your child's growth and development. We provide guidance on nutrition, addressing issues like picky eating, food allergies, and obesity. Our goal is to help your child develop a positive relationship with food that promotes long-term health.
- Immunizations: Vaccines are a safe and effective way to protect your child from life-threatening diseases. We follow the recommended immunization schedule from the CDC to ensure your child is vaccinated within the optimal time frame. Immunizations not only protect your child, but they also contribute to the overall health of the community by preventing the spread of diseases.
Adolescent Medicine: Adolescents have unique health needs, and we are prepared to address these needs. We provide care for issues related to puberty, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health. We also offer guidance on healthy lifestyle choices to help teenagers navigate this critical stage of development.
Sick Visits: When your child is unwell, prompt and effective treatment can be crucial. We provide same-day sick appointments for sick visits to ensure your child gets the care they need when they need it.
Medication Checks: For children and adolescents that take medication on a regular basis for ADD/ADHD, anxiety or depression, menstrual problems/birth control, more frequent visits are required to monitor their health while on their medication. Visits are required every 3-6 months, based upon your child’s needs. Often at least 1 of these visits annually can be a telemedicine appointment.
Telemedicine: Sometimes visits by telemedicine (phone or computer) are more appropriate, especially if your child is having a problem for which you need advice or recommendations, or if they are away at college and need to check in or get advice. Telemedicine appointments are scheduled just like regular visits, and are generally best for topics such as mental health, ADHD, or other behavioral issues. We do not schedule telemedicine appointments for children that are ill with fever, ear pain, cough, rashes, suspected urinary infections, or other physical symptoms, as those children are optimally cared for by careful physical examination in the office.
Expectant Parents Visit: One of the most joyful visits for parents-to-be is coming to meet with us before your baby is born. We are happy to schedule a complimentary visit with you prior to your delivery. This is a great way to see and hear about our office, what to expect for your newborn, and ask any questions you may have of Dr Pass and the medical team.
